Crimes against a person

on may 25 at 3:15 p.m., a student reported that she had observed someone masturbating outside a gate at 1129 30th Street. DPS officers responded and conducted a search, but were not able to locate the suspect.

Crimes against property

On may 15 at 7:32 a.m., a student reported that as she was packing her belongings to leave her apartment at Cardinal Gardens, she noticed she was missing several pots and pans. She said she believed her roommate had taken the property because she had ongoing problems with her roommate misappropriating her personal belongings. The student requested a report for documentation purposes.

on may 16 at 1:19 a.m., a student reported that people were throwing lemons and limes over a wall at Cardinal Gardens and one of them had broken her apartment window.

On may 17 at 8:37 p.m., a suspect used bodily force to damage a stairwell door on the second floor at the Regal Trojan Apartments.

On may 19 at 10:32 a.m., a staff member reported that five monitoring devices and two staplers were missing from her office at the USC Healthcare Consultation Center.

On may 23 at 4:42 p.m., a suspect entered an unsecured vehicle at Superior Market and removed a jacket and a case of bottled water.

Miscellaneous incidents

on may 20 at 9:34 p.m., DPS officers responded to another officer who sustained injuries when he fell while driving a three-wheeled patrol vehicle near the intersection of 29th Street and Vermont Avenue. An LAFD RA unit was requested and Unit #15 responded. The RA Unit examined the officer and transported him to California Hospital for medical treatment. LAPD officers were also requested and responded to conduct a traffic investigation.

on may 21 at 2:09 a.m., DPS officers responded to a male student who reported that he had injured his back while playing cricket at Dean Bartlett Cromwell Field earlier in the day. An LAFD RA unit was requested and Unit #811 responded. The RA Unit examined the student and transportation him to Good Samaritan Hospital for additional medical treatment.

on may 21 at 1:25 a.m., DPS officers responded to a report of an unconscious non-USC male seated in a vehicle outside the USC University Hospital. The officers were not able to wake the man, so an LAFD RA Unit was requested. RA Unit #16 responded and was able to wake the man, who was responsive and coherent, and said he was taking a nap because he was tired from work. The man declined medical treatment and was released at the scene.

on may 21 at 4 p.m., DPS officers responded to a male student who had been struck by a vehicle driven by another male student near the intersection of Adams Boulevard and Severance Street. The injured student refused medical treatment or transportation to a local hospital.

On May 22 at 5:04 p.m., DPS officers responded to a student who reported that his television and other property had been taken from his apartment at Troy Hall. The student told the officers his apartment was scheduled to be cleaned and that he believed the cleaning crew might have taken his belongings. A customer service manager told officers the items had been placed in storage because the cleaning crew thought the items had been abandoned. The manager then told officers all property would be returned to the student.

On may 22 at 10:34 a.m., a staff member backed a university vehicle in a faculty member’s vehicle at Parking Structure C, causing minor damage to the faculty member’s vehicle.

on may 25 at 2:29 p.m., DPS officers responded to a non-USC female who complained of pain in her side after she was struck by an automatic door and fell inside USC University Hospital. An LAFD RA unit was requested and examined the woman before taking her to LAC+USC Hospital for additional medical treatment.

on may 20 at 10:42 a.m., DPS officers responded to a non-USC male who injured his hip and cut his hand after he tripped on a manhole cover near the Allan Hancock Foundation. An LAFD RA unit was requested and Unit #15 responded. The RA Unit examined the man and transported him to California Hospital for additional medical treatment.
